Texas may be a Southern State, but because it's open to all the Colder or Arctic Air from Canada...That State experiences Colder Winter Weather than other states at the same latitude out here on the West Coast.

Houston Summer Weather reminds me a lot of when I visited The U.S Territory of Guam(and yes I mentioned it's a U.S Territory since many people don't know what is Guam and don't know it is a U.S Territory too) with it's Thunderstorms,Rains,Humidity.

During the Winter it was always cool looking at the Weather Map of Texas when colder air comes down from the North and you see a rainbow of colors indicating the temperatures from North to South.

But Texas weather is complex since it's usually the battleground for different air masses,so at times Texas can be colder than other parts of the Northeast U.S or Houston can be colder than Dallas or vice versa, but the cold is temporary until it warms up again.

I like Texas, but it's just way too flat for me and everything is spread out far apart by many miles, unlike in California where everything is at a closer distance....I also don't like the humidity in Texas.

When it comes lower humidity and warm weather. April is my favorite month. Reminds me of San Jose, CA.

Only rain can save Houston now from heat until September.

What about Fort Worth? Cooler or warmer? and Arlington? Was Arlington as warm as The Woodlands? and was Irving warm or cold? Reason I ask is that it makes a huge difference to those of us who wonder about this sort of thing.
