I have been following weather patterns and noticed that Dallas was usually 5 to 10 F cooler than Houston and at times when it was warm here meaning feels like at higher temperature due to humidity, Dallas was much cooler.

I thought there was no difference between the 2 cities except Dallas is hotter in the summer with slightly lower humidity?

Maybe, it was just this Winter?

All in All, this past Winter in Houston was much milder than the Winter of winter freeze. We have had much longer winter with more cold days before.

Are you playing with us? It is always colder in N Texas. Every year.

SE Texas sometimes goes years without a hard freeze. That happens every year in N Texas

Houston is substantially more humid than Dallas so temperatures will be lower in the summer, but Dallas is generally more comfortable in my opinion. I think the only times Houston might feel cooler than Dallas on an individual day is if it's raining in Houston but sunny in Dallas.

Winters in Dallas, while still fairly mild, are notably colder than the other cities in the Texas triangle. Dallas gets some snow on an annual basis and that is not the case in Houston, Austin, or San Antonio, and Dallas also gets ice storms significantly more frequently. I feel like the late springs and early falls seem a bit more comfortable in Dallas than the other cities, though, mainly because it's a bit dryer.

It's usually 5-10 degrees warmer in Houston than in Dallas in the winter. It doesn't seem to have been much different this winter - most of the state has had a pretty warm winter this year. Other than a couple of weeks, its mostly been in the 70s for the last couple of months - very enjoyable in my opinion.

I spend a lot of time in Frisco which is north of Dallas. The weather is much more enjoyable due to the lower humidity. Even if the temperature is higher at times, it feels much nicer than Houston.
