We are first time homebuyers, and we are trying to find a realtor in this area (i.e. Spring, Klein, Tomball, & Cypress). I have seen posts on here where people are saying with the cost of gas, many realtors will not show you home after home after home. While I understand that, I need guidance in areas I can afford more so than I am getting on the online listing. We are more than willing to drive on our own time and just see the house & the area before we tour to see what sort of vibe we get. I just don't know what I am missing out on - we know were we want to buy, but we don't nothing anything about the neighborhoods, etc. That is what we need from our realtor.

However, we do expect to tour multiple homes, even in the double digits if we have too, as we know there is a good chance this will be the only home we will ever be able to afford to buy. I understand that money isn't made until the house is closed, but we are motivated and want to have a house bought in September/late August as we don't want to renew our lease.

I am looking for a realtor who is very active via e-mail and sometimes phone. I want to see as many listings as I can. We do have a few specifics we want, but overall they are all very doable from what I see. I have been looking online myself, but someone who can give me specifics would be most helpful.

Thanks so much everyone! I am trying to save my time (and sanity!), as well as my realtors time as long as they will send me lots of e-mails!

Don't be too hard on me - this is my first post & I am an overwhelmed home buyer!

any Realtor not willing to put up the cost for gas is not worth it. I'm no Realtor but I certain jump when my clients call.

Hi, I am relocating to Houston as well, and I found a great realtor. Send me a message and I'll tell you more about her and see if you're interested.

We're meeting with her this weekend to look at houses. I like her because she has brought up many good points to keep in mind as we figure out where to live, etc. She also is very easy to communicate with both by phone and email.

There are a few Realtors on this very site. Spend some time to find them (not allowed to say names) and when you find them use the "find all posts by" feature. You will find the ones who spend the time on here offering information. You will be able to decide for yourself who knows what they are talking about.

I bet you already been bombed with DMs but good luck in your search.
