I think we've narrowed it down to Kingwood or Woodlands....
You'll like The Woodlands the best I think. It was further along in cultural and recreational amenities than Flower Mound or Kingwood.

There is a Lifetime Fitness not too far from The Woodlands (near Willowbrook Mall). The Kingwood area is building one, and Katy and Sugar Land already have one.

But The Woodlands would be the best for you. Some areas have rolling terrain and it is extremely wooded. Traffic would be the only problem, but you could ride Woodlands Express into Downtown, and there is also the Hardy Tollway. Flower Mound would be the worst for you in the transportation department.

You should check out the Woodlands Waterway, Woodlands Mall, and Market Street.

Here are some photos of The Woodlands:

Market Street/Downtown: //www.city-data.com/forum/houston/191913-woodlands-photos-11-07-a.html

The little canal you see is The Woodlands Waterway. You can't see the mall or Market Street, but they are to the right.

Hope this helps!

You obviously haven't been in here long enough to understand a running joke. If you're too lazy to search through the forums & figure out what it is, or are too uppity to take a joke, you can plant yourself at the Texas forum. Talk about rare T-bone steak, shooting snakes in your front yard with a 30-06, going to cowboy dress-up church, and other inane things all day if that's what you prefer.

More.
Kingwood is literally "in" the forest, "part" of the forest.
Woodlands is more manicured.
