These cats at Old Spice need to re-tweak their computer simulators. Where is DFW, Austin and San Antonio?

To me, the issue of DISCOMFORT really wasn't addressed in this survey:

QUOTE: "Rankings were based on computer simulations of the amount of sweat a person of average height and weight would produce walking around for an hour in average temps. during June, July and August."

...in the dryer climates like Phoenix and Las Vegas, even if you produce so many volumes of sweat, it burns off so fast, you don't really feel it. Granted, you feel THE HEAT, but this survey only claims its measuring the AMOUNT OF SWEAT. It's the sweat that lingers on your skin that is so uncomfortable.

So, I would question 'dry heat' cities being so high on the list.

Sweat lingering on your skin isn't uncomfortable. I mean, it's unpleasant, but it's the HEAT that's uncomfortable, not the perspiration.

Got to remember it was Old Spice Deodorant conducting the survey! They would only be concerned with those who "sweat".

I've been living in the humid southeast and gulfcoast for so long that I don't make a major distinction between, Miami, Charleston, Atlanta, Jax, New Orleans, Houston, San Antonio, etc... it all generally feels the same to me with the exception of at night, where I find Atlanta's summer evenings to generally feel a bit more comfortable. Outside of that, it's not worthy of distinction, IMO.

That's the way I see it. At the end of the day, hot is hot. It doesn't matter if you're 5 degrees cooler or what. Bickering over who has the more comfortable seat in a oven is ridiculous.

And the claim of the dry heat has always had me flabergasted. Dry heat is just as bad IMO.
