Be aware that having a salt water generating pool might cause degradation issues with natural stone coping and decking if they're not sealed properly......

Default re:pool electric bill

We just moved from a house with a conventional chlorinated pool and the pool company that started up the pool recommends that you run the pool 8 hours in the warm months ( when your swimming). They told me that it took at least 6 hours to circulate all the water. With high usage you'll get algae if you don't run 8 hours and keep the chlorine at proper levels. Sunlight and heat breakdown the chlorine and oils from the body as well as sunscreens do too. Our electric bill was about $75 more in the summer than it was without the pool and approx. $50 dollars more in the winter. We only ran the pool 4 hours in the winter since we weren't swimming and never had a problem. Hope this helps.
