Thanks for the input, even if it didn't lead me to the breakfast I was hoping for. Going out for breakfast is such a treat for me. I'll hope for an enterprising person to come along and open just the right place.

That's it. Not even a Cracker Barrel. Underserved niche perhaps? But, uh, I guess you can drive to Stafford or Rosenberg.

How long before House of Pies sets up in Sugar Land?
Oh no. I was afraid of that. We were looking the other day while out & couldn't see anything. I told DH I'd do some research. Sorry to see those are the choices!

Otto's (in the Fountains) has a good breakfast. You can also get breakfast at Berryhill and Skeeter's. Avalon Diner is a favorite of our, and La Madeleine is a nice change. If you're okay with chains, Panera is good, and Potbelly has good breakfast sandwiches.

There is a Kolache bakery in SL and it's usually packed in the AM.

Cracker Barrel in Pearland, off 288 just South of beltway.
Taco Shack in Fresno, about 2 miles North on 521 off hwy 6 (good stuff)
La Escondida in Mo City, hwy 6 near Lake Olympia
La Escondida Mexican Grill - Breakfast Menu (http://www.laescondidagrill.com/breakfast.html - broken link)

They just opened that Cracker Barrel in Pearland. I can not believe how packed it is at ALL times. I'm surprised it's not opened 24 hours.

Cracker Barrel is hard to beat. Plus, if you ever need a groovey new shirt that has sparkly things all over it, they have em right there.

That's the first time I've ever read or heard "groovey" as a description of Cracker Barrel.

But, ok.

I think the food is great...we eat there fairly often. The merchandise is very....um..."eclectic".
