In the last seven years the population of Pearland has doubled to 80,000. Is there any wealthier people being attracted there? Is there nicer affluent areas or subdevisions there?

Thanks for all your help,

Yes there are. Of course, I don't find them to be particularly friendly. That usually brings with it a bit of snobbishness and exclusion but some people like those things and like being with their own and nobody else. That's everywhere though - just a part of life. Money and affluence is almost like its own race sometimes.

Green is the only color that matters.

I guess it depends on your definition of affluence. I don't think it will be giving River Oaks, Southampton, or Piney Point Village a run for its money any time soon. But it certainly is a growing area with nice subdivisions that probably have their share of white-collar professional types with good jobs.

You'll never get rich in Pearland. Modster is right, ditch the property.

Pearland, like most of the outer burbs, has a lot of Upper Middle class.

True affluence usually have their main residences in the socially acceptable pockets west of downtown.

true affluence is *not living in Houston*. I meant whats the point right? They may own properties here and there which makes people think affluence 'lives' in houston.
