I was on a different forum and someone brought up the fact that when they were in Houston they spotted a ton of out of state plates. With Houston growing so much; in your daily driving how many out of state plates do you come across in the area. Which are more prevalent? ex. NJ, CA, NY. Trying to get a sense of where everyone is relocating from.

For the most part, we have found, that the core of the people we come in contact with most are not from the Houston area, or even Texas!

Seriously, my family came from Vietnam, who migrated to the NE states and finally settled in Houston
My wife's family came from Mainland China.

I have a feeling that, before long, the answer will be California. With those fires on the northern end and that vibration on the southern end a lot of those folks will be looking for stable ground very soon if not already.

Nah....I disagree on that one. It's a way of life...just as Hurricanes are to Texans these days. Sure they make a few people nervous, just as hurricanes do to me
, but for the most part, they will all stick it out. Unless of course the economy sends them running, which is a huge possibility!

I see NJ plates more than others. I moved 2 cars from NJ as well, I even got a warning from cops. When my neighborhood was filling up I saw NY, MA, LA but mostly CA. rentals in my area are owned by folks in CA

We were right near the Quake, and it doesn't bother me. I have lived on this fault line my entire life and heard "THE BIG ONE IS COMING" forever. It's just like a tornado or flooding in TX.
