2. can you please give me some school district name around Spring and if you can give me some info (specailly the bad/good thing) about the school i'll appreciate it.
3. is there any particular area in Spring that i should keep-off (north/south/etc)??
4. i'm new in buying a home, it would be great if you will give me advise buying a home around Spring, TX.
5. we like to go to the mall with the kids, any mall around Spring?

HI Va,

Spring is just south of the Woodlands off I45 north....on both the east & westside of the freeway. Most of the westside tends to maintain better resale value and will afford you the Klein School District...good level of education for public schools. On the eastside of I45 you will fall in the Spring School District, not as strong of a district. A few pockets of nice homes...but not as well planned.

Depending on how much you have to spend ...a 3/2/2 westside resale will begin around $125,000 in the less expensive neighborhoods and will range beyond a million for a larger custom home in a gated neighborhood. New homes begin around $150,000 for a 3/2/2 and exceed a million.

As far as shopping & dining, there is Willowbrook, Champions, FM 1960 and Woodlands, centers. You can find anything from roadside veggie vendors to fine dining. There are several good gyms in the area...for both adults and kids. Also, a wide varity of Catholic Churches.

It really just depends on your wants & what you have to spend. Sunny

The school districts of choice would be Klein ISD or Conroe ISD in The Woodlands. Spring is just north of houston and about 30 minutes or so to town (from Klein). Try to avoid Spring ISD if possible as resale is not nearly as good and some Spring schools are horrible. There are two malls close by, Willowbrook and The WoodlandsMAll (which is awesome!) The Woodlands is 20 minutes north of Klein and is actually Spring but is considerd its own city by alot of people but technically isn't yet. The WOodlands is more expensive and master planned so there are alot of rules for living out there but it is beautiful and number one on places to relocate in Texas. Klein area is very nice with top schools but not near as rigid as living in The Woodlands and much closer to downtown. Go through some of the posts by locals such as Supermac and Mr. Football. I live in Klein area and my office is in The Woodlands.
Finding a catholic church will not be difficult, there are at least two big ones I know of in Klein, not sure about THe Woodlands, I am baptist so I don't pay much attention but I'm sure someone on here can help you with that.

There are gyms everywhere in Spring...
Welcome to Texas!

How far is woodland from Spring and Houston?

How's the price (newly build) in woodland for 3bedroom, 2bathroom, 2toilets?

between Klein and Controe School District which is more better in terms of level of education and less problem?

thanks!

vaioman: 3/2/2 means 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2-car garage

I believe Klein is the better school district but Conroe is more desired becauser it is located in the Woodlands, which is very prestigous. home prices depend on the area and builder and what you are looking for in a home. It is correct that when you see a 3/2/2 or 4/2.5/3 it means number of bedrooms, baths, garage(in the last example, it would be a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath and 3 car garage.)

1. Are you planning on working in Houston within the 610 loop? Are you sure you want to deal with the traffic during rush hour? It is an absolute nightmare dealing with with I45, 610, or FM1960. Remember, there are no subways.
2. Yes, Klein or Conroe ISD are your best bets for good schools. However, the further north you go, the less diversity there is. There are some decent schools in Spring ISD that are rated excellent and others I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.
3. Depending on what your needs are at a mall; cookie cutter basic or higher end, once you try the Woodlands Mall or the Town Center at the Woodlands right across the street, there's no need to go all the way out to Willowbrook. Otherwise, if you can bear the traffic, The Galleria is a good option. There's also an outlet in Conroe.
4. We rented a 1500sf townhome (3/2.5) in a nice quiet, diverse neighborhood for about $1000 in Spring. If you're not able to buy a home yet, renting one in a nice area for a reasonable price is very easy in Spring, Klein, Cypress, etc.
5. Try the 77373 zip code at MLS.
