Hello all

I am coming to Houston from New Zealand in November for a conference.
Can someone please tell me what to expect Weather wise?
Is it warm, do I need jerseys?

Thanks

It will be the proverbial "crap-shoot".

Houston is probably best enjoyed in the Fall. Although November is pushing it a little bit on the warmth side.

Novembers can be sunny and 80 degrees without all the summertime humidity just as easily as they can be 47 degrees and wet chilly damp.

For the most part late fall in Houston is going to be sunny, dry (by houston standards at least), and fairly warm.

If I were to reccomend a visit to Houston, I would say go in October or November.

Leave the heavy winter gear at home. Unless something freaky happens, the daytime temps will be fairly mild at worse.

I can remember a few Thanksgiving holidays in November where it was shorts and tee-shirt weather.

You should enjoy your time here. It will very likely be nice enough to eat at some cafes outside. Bring a sweater just in case but you may not even need it.

Here's a look at Houston November averages:
Daily Averages for Houston, TX

If I were to bet, I'd bet November will be pretty good weather-wise. BUT, like TerpsandHorns said about the proverbial "crap-shoot", there can be days like those back in late November 30, 1976 when the temperature got down below freezing (25 degrees F [-4 C]). That's very unusual though but it is Texas so anything goes.

I'd recommend bringing a sweater (jersey) just in case.
