By the way, High Star/HS Landing are in Alief ISD too. They have the same high school scenario.

I have no kids, so I'm not too concerned, but thanks for that info.

yeah High Stars are Alief ISD (biggest deal for my family up in cypress) school is ghettoish, being too close to the school grounds may be a hassle (school rush hour traffic, dunno about hoodrats) but i'd think its mostly going south of dairy-ashford since High star is at the Alief border
I got a good lot in High Star Landing. houses are closer together - less yard work - although i'm not liking sharing 5' corridor between houses. seems that the design is open and more current. it only has 60 houses and completely boxed in by built houses.
I dont want this to sound like i'm recommending the area. just thought there might be others out there who cant stand cosmopolitan or rural/retirement home living. I have a bit of problem with conformity and master plans and I only reward myself with my dose of authentic ethnic food and the good feeling of bargain shopping, my race cars has special needs, me and my wife will not commute more than 45mins (we're from NYC)

i've been watching this site for days
http://traffic.houstontranstar.org/layers/
and it seems that west park tollway is the lightest and maybe most convenient for buses
you can also view the traffic map archives and scroll +/- 1 day

BTW, does anyone got that link to school ratings? I thought I saw one good highschool in the area. its mostly asian and has a college-like system where students are expected to study on their own. i believe people have a problem the fact that this school does not promote sports
