National Hurricane Center

They even have an e-mail feature where they will e-mail info to you as storms develop and progress. Its very helpful.
Thanks Va-Cat for the info. I had the National Hurricane Center bookmarked, but never realized they had the e-mail feature.

you're quite welcome! I used it quite a bit when I lived in Florida and the Bahamas. I re-established the e-mail when we moved here. It can give you a 2 to 3 day head start on either getting prepared or getting the heck out of the way!

Hello, We are living in Tacoma WA and moving to Houston TX in 5 months. We are thinking of moving to Humble because it is very close to my husbands work. What are the things I need to worry about and be ready for? In WA all we ever get is rain, that is it. I want my family to be safe. Any advice would be great. Is that area safe?
