Hm. I have only been able to get out $300 at my bank.

Either way, sounds like a hoax.

I don't know if I really believe this story. I mean broad daylight in a crowded shopping center?

Well, I have to admit I'm pretty skeptical too. I did a Google search too and couldn't come up with anything.

Johnsmith, how come you are just getting this email now if the crime happened in September? Can you email back and ask them why it didn't make the news or anything?

This town is going to ****.

And yes, you should mention what they looked like, it's rather important, don't you think?

Houston ain't going to ****. A lot of good thing are happening there. A lot of the criminals that came because of Katrina are locked up or back in corrupt Louisiana.

I should delete this part when I copy and paste my personal e-mail. I have no purpose to point to any race and any group of people, where they come from. I just want to warn people, please be careful when you walk alone, whatever this is the parking lot of the mall or apartment or anywhere.

BTW, let me confirm again with my friend first.

Is the mentioning of his race really necessary?

Yeah, see, your friend may have received a hoax e-mail from someone and decided to pass it on to you, thinking it was legit.

Have him submit it to Snopes, please.

So have I. I've banked with {deleted} and my cap has always been 300/day with each one. I'm interested to know who Shanla banks with. . .

I am very familiar with that store and that part of town. I can assure everyone, if this story turns out to be true, that this type of activity had existed well before the Katrina evacuees. I can recall many incidents right across the freeway at the movie house or the other malls, strip centers and apartment complexes in the area.

Too, if some young (or old) punks did this horrendous crime, they will eventually be caught. I use the adjectives "punks", because even a semi-professional criminal with half a brain would not incriminate him or herself with words like that when all they want is a quick $800. So in all likelyhood, if those perpetrators have that mentality, they eventually will be caught. Let's just hope before anyone get seriously hurt.
