I feel for your guys, it's gonna be a rough night. When I went through Ivan in '04 it hit after midnight and it was pitch black after the power went out. I remember shining a high powered spotlight out of the window and I still could not see a thing. It is frightening when you hear things happening but you can't see it. I think many of those people in Galveston haven't thought about that.

Hoping everyone in Houston is safe tonight. My brother is a retired fireman & EMT so I won't even go into what it does to emergency personnel when people are stupid enough to stay thru what Galveston is being hit with. jfre81, we could have used you in Tampa in '04!
