Fort Bend County has highest median income of counties in the Houston metro, and ranks third in the state after two counties north of Dallas.

Montgomery County was sixth in the state, and Brazoria County was eighth.

So yeah, the money is in Houston and Dallas and people take it in clusters to the burbs. I think we all know that.

Was there a point to this post? Or is this one of those things where we all flop it out, put it on the table, pass around the ruler and compare?

A more accurate overview is income by zip code. Areas in the cities of Houston (and Dallas) would whip up on FT Bend County as a whole.

And the article mentions that.

But this was a listing by county - not zip. That's a separate article...
