Omg, that's disgusting! Wikipedia says that it lives in the southern US. I never saw one when I lived in Houston. I thought horse flies were bad. This thing is scary looking! Even the name of it - bot fly - sounds like some kind of Terminator science fiction horror robot thingee, lol!!!

Wow. At first I thought this was a joke and you doctored the photo.
I've never seen such a thing in all my years in Houston. Then again, I've never lived in the Woodlands.
