His words, not mine. But let me tell you this... we built our home new in Cinco SW closed July '07 and paid $221,900 for 2730 sq ft. Our home just appraised at $254,000. Not bad, considering the economy!
Hey, that's good to hear. I have driven around Sweetwater and most of Sugarland and personally I can't agree with the statement that Sugarland is just flat out better than Katy. Katy ISD overall has it over Fort Bend ISD...and with the rate of high income growth here it appears that the new schools being built will likely only add to that reputation.

I think KISD is generally a better ranked district.

Though both districts are good, and have many good schools.

I think Sugar Land is the better area however, because
- It's zoned and has lots of regulations to keep things looking nice
- It's a little closer to Houston (distance to downtown) and areas of interest such as the Medical Center and Museum District
- It has several companies based in the city (including a few headquarters)

That being said, I agree it's a little overpriced compared to other Houston suburbs. We had lots of trouble finding a place, and our budget isn't what most people would consider small. But as long as demand keeps up, I don't see prices going down much.
