ok, where would you move if you had 2 kids, 6 and 8, that would be safe for them to go out and play, with good public schools and also affordable apts.

who's working and where? I think of Cypress as perfect for people with simple requirements like yours (traffic into town is a deal breaker for me tho). BTW, renting a house is an even better option since you get the community playground, gym, trails, mail, clubs, safety, scenery etc

its best you use maps.google.com , add in more details to get a better answer

North would be fine if you are thinking Kingwood or Woodlands. where will your employer be located - Houston is big so you might want to find a good community w/good schools that gives you a decent commute. Where will you have to commute to everyday and perhaps the posters can better offer up some good areas and schools for you. Price range you would like to rent an apt in as well?

my employer will be located around w sam houston , but I don't mind driving 20 to 45 mins. I'm used to I live in FL.

I would look at Apts. in Kingwood or The Woodlands.
