It costs so much money to become a doctor. Some may even have several hundreds of thousands in student loans. I recon that's why it costs so much.

Another clinic out your way is HOPE Clinic, at 7001 Corporate, Suite 200. It's at the corner of Corporate and Bellaire, just behind the bank. Absolutely fantastic physicians and staff. Nonprofit. They will charge you on a sliding fee scale. Most visits are $20 or less.

I frequent Chinatown every month ,the one on Bellaire,there are Asian doctors who practice there,they are medical doctors from their own country but did their residency here in US .
Look up Welcome Shopping center and HK MALL.
There is an urgency center on Westheimer before Voss if you are coming from West ,the doctor there will see you,visit is now $100 ,his name is jORGE Suarez

Careful with the urgent care places, ask a lot of questions. Lots are classified as (and some even owned by) full hospitals. With the same high prices.
