Agreed - it's a complete eye-sore - like the arrogant monolithe Memorial Hermann put up on the corner of Hermann Park as well. What egos!

I like it too. We need more of those. Anything 'crazy' will help build character for Houston

I think it's kinda cool. You can see the building from very far off on the Sam Houston Now. Williams tower looks only a hop and skip from it on the sky line.

Also, all the new street markers in Mem. Cit matche the tower top. It brings unity to area

It reminds me of an old diner, or something like that.

I like it - it's different. Looks like the Chrysler Building if it was a Transformer.

In my family we just call it The Spaceship. I think it's sorta cool.

I saw it this morning for the first time when visiting Houston (I don't normally drive I-10). It was before sunrise, so it had the colorful neon, which looked kind of cool. But I've seen photos. It's got to be the most hideous structure ever built. It's quite famous on architectural web sites, and the distaste for the building is nearly unanimous among architects.

Yeah but what do architects know? I hear they often pretend to be George Costanza.
