Well, there are SO many good schools in Cinco Ranch! Exemplary elementary schools are Kirkpatrick, Williams, Griffen, and I'm sure Bonnie Holland will be Exemplary once it's rated. There are many others too, just can't think of them all. Middle schools are Cinco Ranch Jr High, Beckendorff Jr High, and Woodcreek Jr High, all very good. The zoning has been changing every year so there are no guarantees when you buy a house what schools you'll be zoned to, but you can make pretty educated guesses. I live right next to Kilpatrick elementary so hopefully we'll still be zoned there for years to come.

On HAR, you can check out districts and schools. Also, Schooldigger.com -- Search and compare elementary, middle, and high schools. is pretty good, but it primarily shows demographics. I focused on the TAKS results from HAR and other sites when comparing schools.

Default Schools

I strongly suggest that you read the statistics on Frostwood/Bunker Hill Elem., Memorial Middle, and Memorial High if you are focused on public schools. You will have an amazing commute. Shopping, dining, and entertainment will be with in minutes from your home. If you have younger children (infant-early grade school) most young families focus on the neighborhoods closer to the beltway and Memorial. If you have a $600K price range you will find great home options in Frostwood, Memorial Forest, or Whispering Oaks. However, once you get in that price range there will be fewer families with very young children that can spend $600k +. There is an amazing mommy network through the local mom's group too.

I'll agree with Memorial Mom, but you can get west of the Beltway and get the same education, at Rummel Creek and Wilchester, for a little less house price. But the OP said 250-300k and you just can do that in Memorial.

Also, there are soooo many private school options on the west side of town for different/gifted learners as well as those with special needs.
