I've been working with a couple of high school seniors that are interested in the Univ. of Houston..

One of them has a 2.2 GPA and 1010 SAT score and 22 ACT score. She's afraid she won't get in..

For those who have attended U of H, how difficult is it to get in?

I am sure that the Top 20% in your class gets you automatically accepted.

They will probably have no problem at all. They were pretty lax when I graduated high school; I can't imagine they've gotten more stringent.

It's pretty easy to get into U of H but it's hard to stay in. That's what I hear. Good luck to your students.

If they don't get into UH, tell them to try Sam Houston State. I got accepted into their without even sending in my transcript...

Like 10 minutes. I attend TSU (right across the street from UH) and UH is a pretty easy school to get into, I got accepted but couldn't afford it at the time so settled for TSU (big mistake).

Do you mean the main campus? Their admissions criteria are here (http://www.uh.edu/admissions/undergraduate/apply-freshman/admissions-criteria/ - broken link).

I believe that UH Downtown has open admissions.

There are 2 UH campuses downtown, the main campus on Calhoun Rd. and the downtown campus on Main St.
