What are some good private schools in the Houston and surrounding suburbs that are not religion based?

Kinkaid, Cooper, The Village School, School of the Woods

However, some of the better schools are church schools and they aren't really religion based. They do provide religion as a required course and there is usually a mass/chapel.

Awty and The Post Oak School. They are both ISAS accredited schools, in addition to Kinkaid, but it was already memtntioned.

If we'd stayed on in Houston our daughter would probably be at Auty looking to take her IB in a year or so.

There's the Cunae School up on Gosling. I hear that they're pre-IB all the way up until 8th grade. After that, you might be able to transfer into Klein Oak High School, where they IB, also.

My son is a first grader in Holy Trinity near Summerwood. Yes, it is an Episcopal school with a mass Chapel before each school day, but they do not "preach" that religion to the children. I can't say enough about the school. First grade and they are almost finished with second grade math.
