Is it too much to ask for a good ol' Texas Thunderstorm that causes mass flooding and car damage???

In the 7-day forecast theres rain for the Houston metro area but its a 10- 40 percent chance.

The wind is expected to last through out next week.

I forgot how rain drops look because of the sunshine and I've been sick this whole week.

Here in Galveston I see alot of license plates from out of state, also some people from other states. I guess there here to enjoy the beaches and sunny weather. Every weekend the sewall is crowded and with surfers, pedestrians, tourist etc....

This weather is expected to last through the end of Spring.

Ditto. We spent nearly the entire day outdoors, and I even got a slight sunburn. My hair doesn't like the wind, but if that's the only downside I'll take it.

Dude, why don't you go out and explore the city? Enjoy what Houston has to offer since it seems you don't get out much and may be why you seem so grouchy

Galveston was beautiful this weekend. The bay was aquamarine and so nice. The surf was pretty rough and without the dunes (thanks to Ike) I can hear the surf at my house near the bay. Very nice at night!
I have never needed lotion like I have this year! Dryer than I ever remember.

While this dry spell has been nice for outdoor activities, my yard and plants need rain. This is getting crazy.

No kidding. You should see my backyard, my swing flipped over, toys strewn all over the yard, even a chair flipped over INTO the sandbox. Texas does have some crazy wind.

have you checked out the new park they built next to Avalon?

And I was wondering if you could tell me if there were any parks so that I could go down into and touch brazos river and maybe go conoeing and such; man would that be fun!
