anyone know of any Polish bakeries or other bakeries selling Packzis today? Preferebly one near the Clear Lake area? Packzi Day is a big event back in Michigan (even for non-Poles) and I'm craving some 400 calorie donuts.

Polonia Restaurant - Best Polish Food in Houston!!!

This is the best I can do. It's not Clear Lake - in fact it's a pretty good haul - but it looks like this is the only option I can find.

Our H-E-B at the main entrance to Sienna Plantation has been selling them for the last couple of weeks -- they are from the same bakery I used to see selling them through Meier in Michigan. You might check an H-E-B closer to you.

Not really, Packzi's are always sweet I believe. It's pretty much a jelly filled donut usually glazed or sprinkled with sugar/powdered sugar. The traditional flavor is a prune filling... but they are also found with lemon/rasberry/cream/custard fillings.

I found some at the clear lake HEB yesterday. They only had lemon and bavarian cream filling. They weren't bad... definitly satisfied the craving. But the best find at HEB was a 6-pack of Vernors... it's a ginger ale/soda pretty much only found in Michigan. I like HEB, think I'll go there more often.

400-calorite donuts. Putting the "fat" in Fat Tuesday.

So where's mine? I don't care that it's Wednesday now.
