Other than...

Children's Museum
Zoo
Memorial City Play Area
Stompinggounds Playland
Chik-Fil-A (we go there often)
Park
Story time at the Library and Pottery Barn Kids
Playing at Learning Express

My son is BUSY, active, creative and talkative. I don't like crowds as he is prone to running off. Please give me suggestions. We need new ideas.

I am thinking about painting pottery, but I am not sure....

the Children's Musuem has a new outdoor area with water features and such. I think that and then the zoo would make for a great day.

I don't want to deal with spring break crowds. I prefer to take him to the museum and the zoo when children are in class. I want to do something different . Something that a non native (me) might not know about.

Go to the Police Stables, on North Posk Oak near the Houstonian, with a bag of carrots. Sign in and you can pet the horses.

Why don't you try a trip to one of the arboreteums? Lotsa paths to run on and critters to see and plants and flowers for you.

The pottery painting sounds like a good idea.
My son, who is just a bit older than yours, loved the shows playing at the Planetarium & IMAX at the Natural Science Museum. It may not be that crowded, remember a lot of people go out of town on Spring Break.
