This topic was brought up and extensively talked about on at least one other site at least 8 hours before this thread popped up.

I understand omitting really vague descriptions like "white male in jeans". However, there were some good detailed descriptions in this case. There was a vehicle description, a distinguishable feature description (wild, unbraided fro) to go along with the basics (race, sex, age, size). Nobody is offended when it is a detailed description.

If you're suggesting I got my inspiration for this thread elsewhere, you're mistaken.

Don't be so daft. Journalists have a responsibility to report all of the facts. That they are so PC and selective is ridiculous, as is your assumption I would think they were black. They could be anything. FWIW, it was reported on the news (KPRC) it was "wild hair" not a "wild afro"--that was elsewhere.
That you would be hung up on the "PC" nature of the media by pretending to be deprived of the "necessary facts" about cases like this speaks more about your perception than it does the media's.

The city is so international that a black looks like a mexican and a Indian looks Russian I mean its the truth. You cant classify by race because there are so many different cultures or does all dark skin people look black to you like some of you think.

Really? What's my perception? You're so smart, please, enlighten me. I'm truly interested in what you think about my perception.
