We are looking for a home near Tomball, and have seen some beautiful homes in Wimbledon Country that appear to be below market value. Is there a reason for this? The neighborhood seems well established, and the only thing we saw that might, and this is a stretch, MIGHT deter buyers is a new very big apartment complex going in nearby. Any thoughts, or is anyone currently living there and willing to share how you like it? Thanks!

Hello, we live down Rayford Rd. in Auburn Lakes and I was just wondering about Wimbledon Country for my step daughter and her husband who may be moving to the area. I have never taken a drive through it, but the entrance looks nice. I think the lower prices are just because it is an older neighborhood. It seems to be nice and it is zoned to really good schools.

Trust me, it's a good place. No reason for the prices. I guess they have nothing better to do. It's a pretty quiet neighborhood.

Very nice neighborhood quiet, we moved in two years ago, don't worry about the apartments, those are luxury an so far they are very selective about renters, so far no impact on price, in fact our appraisal went up for 2010. Friendly neighbors walk around streets every day. All are custom homes very well built, good schools, mature trees, convenient location

I'm sure there are.
I'm moving to Northcrest Village up the road. I know Windrose/Senterra Lakes seem to be pretty nice.
Also RockCreek is near there, but that is big money houses.

That area of Spring was hit a little harder than most during the downturn. There was a lot of extra inventory when things went South and they are just now selling down to an appropriate amount of homes. The homes are not below market value, they are priced where they need to be to sell, so don't think you'll make a killing on them or anything.

You do, however, get a lot of house for the money.

You may be interested in Windrose Subdivision. They have some good deals too.
