When trolls are trolling other trolls, it’s time to retire a thread.

My friend, I'm sorry you had to see this.

I held a seance in another thread where I spoke to dead people in another thread, and summoned a demon from city-data Houston's antediluvian epoch. There was no civilization, and we ate our own, old and young alike. For civilized humans like we are today, it would have been thought of as hell on Earth.

I accept full responsibility for any lost IQ score you might have suffered from your having read this.

PS - if you ever hear weird references to coconuts in here, disregard that too.

This whole thing sounds like it is made-up. I smell a troll.

It's "secondary trolling", a whole new way of trolling where the actual troll can blame past members who may not even be alive now. He or she then justifies the resurrection of these troll threads, as either a walk down memory lane, or as a comparative study of trolling, past and present...

It's hard to understand how this thread has lived as long as it has. Jeez, almost 10 years now, and still annoying people, stirring the pot, and putting Houstonians on an unnecessary defensive. Like others, I also smell troll origins.

I thought you supported historic preservation.

Most of the people who started this thread are on their 4th or 5th user account by now.

The funny thing is, the OP signed up here to defend the city's honor which you would see in her brief post history, and that's completely lost on everyone seeing this now, as it was then. All they do is see red and charge like a bull. Some of these people aren't even looking at the timestamp. They're the same people who re-share old news on social media. If that's you, re-examine yourself.

Now I'm about to head out to Montrose and go make some more photography in the city you seem to think I hate, now that my hours have been cut at work post-notice and I'm about to go walk the earth for awhile. The fact is, I don't hate Houston. Yes, I'm moving away, for the third time(!) in my life, and that fact alone should tell you how much I "hate" the place. I want Houston to be best. Sometimes that involves a little constructive criticism. I understand the Chamber of Commerce isn't happy with it sometimes, but them's the breaks.

If I was trolling, you would readily see the difference, Jack. You'd see Bill Hicks-esque prophecies of "Oklahoma Bay."

Just to be clear, I didn't see you as trolling. And, to further clear things up, my IQ is diminishing for completely unrelated reasons.

You care to, uh, share some of those reasons? A little artistic inspiration perhaps?
