I am an Ecuadorian American born and raised in NYC and currently living in Houston for over a year now. I would like to venture out and eat some food made by my culture. Just wondering where I can go to eat Ecuadorian food or gather information on where they stay at.

Ecuadorian? You should be happy if you can find a non-Mexican Hispanic community. The population of Ecuadorians in US is even smaller than Venezuelens and Colombians.

Well, Houston is diverse, but not super diverse like New York. Comparing to many places that have mainly white and blacks and maybe some Mexicans, Houston is pretty diverse because it has all of the above and diverse Asian groups plus some other Hispanics. But, it's definately not LA or NYC.

I do not know of Ecuadorean restaurants in Houston, but you can find Colombian ones on Richmond Ave.

Default Ecuadorian food in Houston?

You can find many restaurants in Houston - Mexican, Colombia, Cuban, Asian, etc.....all ranging from cheap to extremely expensive. The majority of the South American places that I have found are in the West/Southwest area of town. Good luck and good eating!

Flores: Salvadoran restaurants are common in the Gulfton/Southwest area.

I didn't realize that the diversity of a city was dependent upon the selection of eateries. Don't you think the impetus is on the immigrant community to open up a restaurant?
