I would like information about Royal Lakes Estates. What is the history, who is, was the developer, comments pro and con about the area, about the several apparently abandoned houses, any information someone from out of state would want to know before considering the area to look for housing. Thanks, one and all.

This was a Parkstone Estate Homes community. They went under a few months ago.

So where does that leave the current homeowners as far as HOA concerns? Coming from an area where there are no HOAs I have no idea how they work, specifically if the developer fails, where they the builders also.

Hi! I live near there and it is a nice subdivision. Generally speaking, most subdivisions that have been around for 10 or so years have a homeowners association no matter what the financial situation is with the subdivision. HOA's are good for keeping the area clean, well maintained, and up to certain construction standards. Usually, HOA's are easy to deal with. I have dealt with quite a few. In my opinion, they are a good thing.

I am a building designer, and at the present time, I am designing a new 6000 sq. ft. home in Royal Lake Estates. I found this website because I did a web search to try to find the HOA so I could get a copy of the subdivision restrictions.

I hope this helps. If I find any other info about Royal Lake Estates, I will let you know. Have a great day! Don.......

I live in Royal Lakes Estates and although Parkstone was a builder in the community, there were many others including Perry and numerous custom builders. The HOA was not tied to Parkstone and is very active in the community. If you enjoy large lots, wildlife (deer everywhere) and being about 5 minutes from the nearest grocery store, it is a wonderful place to live.

I purchased in Royal Lake in April. Love it. Beautiful, quiet, serene and yes, I love the deers. If anyone is interested, I just noticed a 5000 sq ft home on over an acre of land with an asking price of $335K. Great deal.

Default I'm interested. Where's the house?

I also read the article you posted on the other thread with interest. I guess you came to the belief the issues were resolvable since you bought since posting the article. Are the relations better with the railroads and specifically are there problems with blocked egress?

I'm looking at a home in Royal Lakes Estates. I've heard it called a nature preserve, but does anyone know who owns the land just east of the developed neighborhood or if there are plans to develop it?
