In Dallas there is a home improvement store that sells manufacturer overages at a huge discount. It is called Seconds and Surplus. You can get great bargains on stuff like tile, lighting, granite, travertine, bathtubs, doors, fixtures, sinks etc. I was wondering if there is anything in Houston that is similar.

I know Seconds and Surpluss pretty well. They been trying to recruit me since December to manage their showroom/s. I like where I am way too much over here. I do like their business model.

No I do not know of any simular stores with their concept in the Houston area except for Cabinet showrooms.

They have a couple Habitat for Humanity Re-Stores here in Houston. I've never been to Seconds and Surplus, so I couldn't compare it.

What are you looking for exactly?

I just bought an older house and I would like to replace some dated light fixtures, faucets, and a jetted tub in the master bath. I also want to put in a backsplash and some french doors.

Yes they have a great business model. I wish they would expand to Houston.

You are right. I posted in the morning and this afternoon I drove by 2 Habitat stores along 225 in Stinkadena area and thought of this post.
