Alot of people like Walnut Bend, where Google shows this place to be. Briar Forest in that Area isn't the greatest, neither are the schools. But I think you said your kids were really small. Let me look at the Crime Map data and let you know. I know the neighborhood with the single family homes is very nice, but nothing about that complex.

You'll have to look for Deerwood and determine for yourself. Westchase area apartments aren't very popular on here. http://houstoncrimemaps.com/zip/77042/

Well, you can scroll through the weeks at the bottom. But seriously, before you sign the contract I would hang out in front of the complex around 5-7pm and see what's going on and who is coming in and out.

It seems like a nicer apartment community - even though apartmentratings.com isn't the most reliable, it has decent reviews (except for "normal" complaints like lack of parking, loud neighbors/children, etc). If you have to live at a complex, it seems alright.

Like mentioned earlier, I'd check it out during different times of the day, and on Friday and Saturday nights..

Equally important is looking at the 'special terms & conditions' section(s) on your lease, and scour over everything else with a fine tooth comb before signing yourself away to slavery!!!

The only thing I know about Creekstone is that is where the family who we bought our house from stayed until they could move into their new house. They had two small children, so I don't think they would have chosen a place that was, um, undesirable. As far as apartments go, it's a good choice, especially if you're working at Westheimer and 8. The only concern I would have if I would looking to live there is it appears it only has one entrance at the beltway feeder road. Could be very inconvenient, especially with that toll plaza right there. Just something to think about.
