I took me 6 months to get my last job via the online method (at least I had one while looking). If oil stays around 60$/bbl or better there will be more openings.

Get your H-town address for sure. Insurance agents, mortgage brokers, insurance manager trainees are hiring at all insurance companies around the city. I know Ive been on a few interviews. Also customer service is always hiring.

Yes, I bet your job hunt will become easier when you're here. What field are you in? There are also better specialized job sites for certain areas, and maybe people here know of some networking ideas.
