Does anyone have experience with the Special ed services in any of the Sugar Land, TX high schools?? I am the parent of both a child with cognitve disabilities and one who is learning disabled. Both kids are on IEPs.
Does anyone know anything about the programs? Especially the Cognitive Disability program. Are the kids included in regular classes or programs at all?
Anything would be appreciated.

I attended Clements HS in Sugar Land, graduated in 07', if you have children with disabilities then Clements will definately be your best bet, other schools like Dulles/Hightower/Bush aren't as, how do I say this, are more judgemental towards kids with disabilities. There is a CMC program at Clements for children with learning disorders(ADD/ADHD/Dsylexia/etc.) and there is also a special education program that's well-tolerated around the school. Kids at Clements seem to be a bit more mature than other High Schools in Fort Bend. But to answer your question -- Clements is a very academically tough school, so most likely your children would not be able to attend regular classes, aside from gym class/etc. Hope I helped, god bless.
