There are plenty of good places to go at all hours in Houston that are local and not chains (bleh!). I don't get the obsession - is it just convenience and familiarity?

Actually, I really LOVE eating late. I don't know--I can't help it! Then again I am in college, so my sleep to hunger cycle ratio is probably going to be all jacked up anyway! Houstonians LOVE to eat, too.

I found out that the Miller Cafe(?) in the downtown tunnel makes very good burgers. I was surprised. As far as Whataburger, i eat their chicken strips only.

2AM is late? I'm from Vegas so i still have to get used to the fact that things close around here. That news about Carl's Jr. is the best thing I may have ever heard.... I was going to have to go beg for start up money on westheimer to obtain the necessary 300k in liquid capital to open my own.

For the most part its the convenience and the consistency. I've tried one too many late night eateries only to be upset with myself for having paid for crap I could have dug out the trash can.

You are cracking me up.

If you don't have to beg for money to start a Carl's Jr., could you please panhandle some cash to start Fatburger and La Salsa?

LOL! My only claim to fame is that when I was 8 or 9, my sister and I were in a UtoteM employee training film. The UtoteM company was one of my dad's clients. It was a blast and I remember getting to eat all the hot dogs and chips that I wanted. Not sure that would cut the mustard, so to speak, with child labor laws of today. LOL!!
