Ummm. Move out of texas lol... there are flying cochroach's everywhere... Lizards that crawl in and out of every crevice... beetles the size of credit cards... and dont get me started on the ANTS and MOSQUITO problem

I'm assuming the reason why you have a pest problem is because you bought a new house... although older houses do have bugs the problem is not as severe as with new houses.

We have a 4200 sq ft new home in Pearland that has 'Pest Control Tubes' installed. We had Hometeam come out who inspected the property, injected the tubes and sprayed @ 5ft round the perimeter of the house and it cost @ $340 for a year (1 visit every quarter). Very friendly guys we have had them out once in between visits to remove a wasps nest at no extra charge.

I too have a new house with the tubes.. hometeam has been very courteous.. we'll see if this tube system keeps the bugs away. It costs about $300 / yr but they guarantee no bugs -- they also say they will come out to the house and spray for no addt'l charge if there are too many bugs...

I highly recommend APS out of Richmond, as I have used their services for over 20 years. They are family owned, great folks and service the surrounding Houston area. They treat around the perimeter of the home and inside including the attic and do a very thorough job. We are on a quarterly schedule, but they are prompt at addressing any bug problem immediately (at no additional cost). We pay about $60 per quarter for a 1900 sf home. Their number is 281-342-3327. I don't know if they have a website or not ... never checked.

We had hometeam and they aren't good to us. We always had to call them back because there were bugs after they left. We are currently looking for a new pest control company as we speak.

Make sure if you do it yourself you put down good quality insecticide granules around the perimeter of the house. Since it rains so much in Houston the rain will melt the granules and protect better against crawling bugs than just a spray alone. I think Bayer sells one in the stores just make sure its the kind of granules that look more like instant coffee and not the cheap kind that look more like tiny pieces of wood. If I lived in Houston I would probably just put granules down except under the covered areas and under the eves or anywhere else that the rain couldn't get to.

You can save money by just doing it yourself once a month. If you bought a hand spreader a decent metal hand can sprayer like a Hudson, one general insecticide from a do it yourself website, and the granules you would still save money over a pest company and once you buy the equipment it should last for years.

I would use Nature's Own Pest Control and tell them Brandon Scott sent ya, they are very good, friendly, and local. They are also 100% organic, and right now its $50 for your first service and like $75.00 for all others quarterly.
