I mow my own lawns. I could hire people to do for me but I am too cheap for that. Lately, I am getting tired of doing it. The idea of keeping what other people consider a respectable lawn is absurd to me anyway. Think about it for a moment. You use up precious water to grow the grass only to cut it down and fill up the landfill with grass later -- grass that could be used to feed grass-eating animals. I figure the solution to keeping my lawns neatly trim to get one cow or two goats to graze the lawns. It's a win-win situation since they get to eat and I don't have to mow the lawns. They don't make much noise so I know they won't bother the neighbors. I want to run this by my HOA soon. Hope there are no city laws against keeping grazing animals for this purpose.

If you are in Houston, this is a no-go and you can bet your HOA won't cooperate.
