Atlanta, Memphis, New Orleans, Nashville, Jacksonville, Tampa, Birmingham, Little Rock, Jackson, Charleston, Columbia, Charlotte, Lexington, and Orlando are all major southern cities that have much less of an illegal immigrant problem than Houston.

Correction I should have said poverty stricken areas since minorities are not the only people who live in those areas. I know all cities have those type of neighborhoods, but Houston's looks third world compared to Chicago's poor side.

This May got a little warm for about a week but was mostly pleasant.

If the OP is looking at moving here from Tucson, he's no stranger to heat, but the humidity will be more of the thing to adjust to.

Well, I attend the University of Houston and get to see a lot of hot young people.

I also hate the heat, I'm originally from Chicago and not used to such warm weather. I hate sweating and mowing the lawn; I prefer the snow.
