Who paid for the congresswoman's trip and accommodations? If she went as an individual - shouldn't this be on her own dime? Just curious because I was rather surprised to see her on the television attending the event.

Okay, that's actually pretty funny because I just asked DH about this last night. How do you find out that info?

Sheila Jackson Lee--man, wherever there is a camera and an opportunity to self-aggrandize...ugh! *groan* I cannot stand her. I was stunned Pelosi rejected her "resolution", but I am glad she did! Absolutely ridiculous.

Why are you surprised? The woman crashes every notable funeral around, she has a long history of it. About 5-7 years ago, there was one community activist that specifically did not want her at her funeral but she showed up anyway to grab the photos op. SJL is a joke on this subject.

Maybe Wayne Dolcefino will look into it . Aren't congresspeople supposed to disclose how trips are paid for? Why won't another Dem run against her? Please! She has been an embarrasment to the city since Day 1.

I was wondering why any other Dem hasn't successfully run against her, she is an embarrassment to Houston. She must be good at bringing the pork to her followers.

Default 'Doesn't matter...

All congressmen/women have to do is declare a legit business reason, like a meeting, or delegation for whatever reason in order to tie it in with "serving the people". 'Happens all the time, and it should be called out.

Do you all recall inauguration day? She got into the chamber the night before and had the audacity to place a reserved sign where she wanted to sit to be able to give a high five, or hug, or whatever, to the President when he walked in. She was told she could not do that, so she camped out instead... like a teenager waiting to see Miley Cyrus.

The Jackson should not have let her speak. Everyone knew a resolution would just force a debate on MJ's life. Not something the Congress needs to waste time on now. It was just a way for her to get to speak in front of millions.
