Hi Everyone,

I have been noticing that the cold water faucet in my house is extremely cloudy. There are tiny bubbles in the water that disappears after a while but why are there bubbles in the first place and should I be concerned.

I turned off the main water valve and then turned on all water faucets for 5-8 minutes. After that I turned on the main water valve. The water did seemed clearer with less bubbles but after few hours it was back in its original condition meaning lots of tiny bubbles.

It's normal if your water is from a pump, like in high rise buildings.

Thanks!

I don't live in high rise buildings. I live in suburbs in a two story house. I live near Willowbrook Mall area (NW Houston).

It could happen when your water pressure is too high. You can check it if you have a gauge. It should be between 40 to 80 psi.

The bubbles are standard from the aeration valve right under your sink. Try taking that off, you'll see there are no bubbles then.
