Guy's makes an excellent burger, but you have to get there before noon because they sell out quick.

Also try Hubcap Grill downtown.

I'm really surprised Pappas Burgers has not been mentioned yet. It is owned by the Pappas chain (Pappadeaux, Pappacitos) and there is one on Airport and one on Westheimer @ Fountainview. Really, really good burgers and appetizers.

Also, if you're looking for a hole in the wall type place... there is a dive burger joint called Moores Double Horn Grill in Fulshear. For $4 and some change you get a 1/2lb burger, fries or onion rings and a drink. It's a seriously good burger too - fresh beef, handmade paties and family owned.

Just my $.02

I forgot about Hubcap Grill - I'll put it on the list.

I have been to the Pappas on Westheimer and imo it was very average...down the road is the Augusta Becks Prime though, and I really liked my burger there..

No, we got a little off track. Back to burgers!

Had a Five Guys with mushrooms and grilled onions the other night. Really awesome. For the price, it's awfully good!

I am anxious to try Mel's in Tomball.
