Does anyone have any idea what the large pool located at 3940 Inverness Dr. Houston, TX 77027 is? The estate is located in River Oaks and is owned by Gene Van D yke.

The pool appears to be 100-150 feet long and looks like something that would be found at Sea World - not in someones back yard. The HCAD document lists it as a pond - but it clearly is a pool of some kind.

Anyone know if Gene Van D yke has a private marine mammal collection? Check it out on http://local.live.com/ Clearly you can see a smaller Gunite pool located right behind the house - then there is the large tank/pool on the back property line. The West and South views give the best vantage of the pool.

Any information would be appreciated.

I have been to Gene Van Dyke's home and I can tell you that he does NOT have a private marine mammal collection. He does have a smaller pool and a larger pool in which a small paddle boat is used.
