Nice, but doesn't compare to New York and Chicago's skyline.

Those two cities are more compact than Houston. We're over 600 sq mi so our skyline will never be like them. The view from the bridge over the ship channel on the east loop is quite impressive however.

Aww because Houston is striving so hard to become just like them.

very nice, the only complaint i have is the watermarks take away from the image. if they are stitched together the nyou should be able to put a single watermark.

other then that i like it.

thanks everyone, you are correct, it was taken from the mosaic. we moved in about two weeks ago. its a very nice place.

rigas. because of the detail in the photo, if i watermarked a corner of the image, people could still crop and print other areas of the image... this was the only way i could secure the image while i am still editing it. i'll gladly make prints without the watermarks. :-)

and houston is the 4th largest city in the US.

Although the skyline for downtown might not be as impressive as new york, ... we also have the medical center skyline and the galleria area skyline which have developed over the last ten years.

i feel the trend over the next 40 years is for these three skylines to connect into one.

Uptown will never connect with downtown or TMC. I see maybe downtown and TMC.

haha.. the names will definitely change over the years. a uptown is just a name. once our current uptown grows up and is enveloped in the 'downtown' category, it will lose its name or be renamed to old-uptown.

time destroys everything ... well except diamonds and oil.

and how will that happen....??? It's nothing but hundreds of single family homes/strip malls/ condos/apartment complexes/schools/etc separating Downtown from Uptown.....

I see it combining with TMC before uptown, I don't ever see it combining with uptown actually
