Downtown Rosenberg is a little shady, but has some character...some cute little antique shops, the Rosenberg Railroad Museum which is AWESOME for small kids, and the old fashioned soda shop restaurant across the street. It has potential, but it still has a lot of rural Texas, low-income elements to it.

Just why is Costco so stingy with building stores in the Houston area? I hate Sam's Club and Costco seems to have ceded this market to them...

A location in central Fort Bend County would instantly do very well... I've written them several times and never got a response.

They are super, super secretive about their new locations. When I lived in Colorado and a new Costco came to town, the corporate headquarters wouldn't confirm the new Costco was coming until the building was almost completed and a sign finally went up announcing their impending opening.

As to why they are stingy with the Houston locations, I'm not sure about that, but it is a shame!! I won't go into a Sam's Club so I'm out of luck unless I make the 30 min. drive to Costco and I don't do that very often.

I think the land where those townhomes(behind Whole Foods) were built would've been ideal. We surely need one in SL.

I was hoping that a Container Store was going into that Lake Pointe area! But nope, just a Mission Burrito and a Five Guys burger place.

I agree that seems like a perfect area for a Costco .... Saturdays testing all of those food samples they give out, I can see it now.
