As does your Napa suggestion. So we're even.

Napa = very nice countryside. However being pretentious and fake really isn't my kinda thing on vacation. Now, Sonoma... I'd go back to. Next time I hit that area I might drive towards Oregon, thereby putting me in high-$ beer country. Even better.

Sonoma and Napa Valley are very much the same in personality if you hit the right places. You just have to go back into the Mom and Pop Vineyards off the Silverado Trail to get to the non-prententious stuff. The only commercial place I've ever hit is Peju, because they have a great 2003 Cab. Just go with a local and you'll see the real Valley, not the tourist stuff. Gordy is great to go with for the day.

Oh yeah...Jammie, Galveston is mostly operational now. They actually could use some visitors. With money, preferably.

I'm sure there was something fun you could have done... if you were not alone.

But again, it's nothing that couldn't be done at home... or in a gas station restroom.

Usually after those 3 minutes are over, extreme dis-interest causes a 3 hour nap. Then it's probably time to get some food, so actually he's taken care of about 4 hours with that offer.

With $$??? Well, that leaves me out.

Seriously, I've tried to read up on their progress and they seem to be doing very well now. It's just kind of the eerie thing about so much devastation and loss of life that would keep me away for a couple years. That was a horrible storm.

Three minutes?

It would take you longer to smoke a cigarette afterwards.

Jammie, don't worry, Galveston's not that high dollar. I've heard it called a poor man's New Orleans, which isn't exactly inaccurate. And most of the people who stayed and died were on Bolivar rather than Galveston, not that it's that far away.

Great so now you are waiting around for 3 hours for the person to get up so you can go do something. See, one can do these things at home.
