My water from the faucet in my apt hurts my throat when I drank it and has a funny taste to it. Have anybody else ever experience this? if so what causes that?

If, for whatever reason, you think your water is unsafe...you can have it tested. Do a google of water safety test, and a million websites will come up.

Is it COH water? I'd give 311 a call maybe if there is a real safety concern.

Is it possible that it isn't your tap water that is to blame for this? Some people, including myself, get sore throats from drinking things that are too cold. Iced drinks are my enemy. Maybe you leave the tap run too long and it's the temp of the water vs. the water itself. Just a suggestion.

Maybe you swallowed pieces of rust or some other sediment. Our water is hard and the minerals deposit and collect over time. You might need to unscrew the end of the faucet, unstack those little screens and clean it all out, maybe soak in C-L-R. Also check the faucet as well before putting it back together.
