I see counseling pointless because you know what they are going to tell you and its more about what you want. As far as is your spouse honest? How many times have they lied? Do you feel it could work? etc

Those are things only you and only yourself can answer. People can help you understand, but in the end it all comes down to you.
Says the 19 year old...LOL.
Ultimately the OP will make up her own mind what's best for her and her family.

Geesh ppl....lets not feed negativity. Marriage is a beautiful thing and yes, it will have it's ups and downs. We should be commending the OP for her willingness to try and work things out, not making her feel as if it's hopeless. If you feel your marriage is worth fighting for, seek all the help you can and good luck to you both. Sorry I don't know of any counselors but I do know of someone who used one so I will ask her.

There are only two people here so far that have responded with information she requested. Some others here are hell-bent on making sure they don't answer that question.

If the OP wanted opinions, she would have asked for them.

Absolutely, but when needing a resource for something as important, personal, delicate, whatever adjective you want to use, I wouldn't use this board as a source. You open yourself up to those kind of negative comments from people unqualified to address or assist with something like that.

For the OP, I hope you are able to find a resolution for your problem and certainly a counselor would be a valid choice before I would just give up on the marriage. I agree with the suggestion of checking with your regular physician. I think that would be the best place to start.

I agree with you, 100%, but I'm still amazed at how insensitive people can be.

Marriage counselling is the biggest BS that anybody could ask for...I would rank it at the same level with Tony Robbins power seminars....motivational speaking...etc, etc..LOL....Oh I forgot those cost lots of money, such as $150/hour for counselling and up to $250 to attend a seminar with Tony Robbins...good money at the expense of naive people thinking that somebody else is going to solve their problems or teach them how to make money...LOL...stuff like this ONLY sells in America....
