I'm now 50. I remember my parents and I going to the Winkler Drive-In Theatre. For at least the past five years I've been hoping to find someone who would happen to have a picture of it.

I think there was a drive in theater in Pasadena on Shaver Street. Als one on Red Bluff near Spencer Highway and the one on Red Bluff near the Capitan Theater. That's the one that became an Xrated drive in.

Red Bluff was torn down and I don't know about the others. There was a Thunderbird drive inn in spring branch, but i'm sure it is gone

Like above poster stated, the Showboat is still up and running and typically packed on the weekends.

How do people deal with mosquitos and stuff? Or do they keep the windows up and run the a/c the whole time?

I have never been there (this thread actually inspired me to visit sometime soon), but their website says that engines must be turned off.
Probably you should bring mosquito repellent.

Mosquitoes never bothered us, but we did bring repellent. It is usually the heat that we don't like. When we do go, it is usually in the spring, early summer, or fall. Kids have always had a good time, and I like two first run movies for the price of one.
